Raclette Night!

Our buddy Mark-Auriel Brothier invited us up to his family's home upvalley from Chamonix in Montroc for an awesome Savoie region dinner - Raclette! Armed with pounds upon pounds of amazing cheese Marko proceeded to grill the surface of the sliced cheese wheel with a heat lamp until it starts to melt off the end of the chunk. Right as it starts to drip off the end, you scoop it up and slap it on your plate that is covered with potatoes, sliced cured meats, bread, and interestingly, pickles. This dinner is amazing!


After gorging ourselves on cheese and meat, we were treated to a homemade liquor that Marko's grandfather made out of fruits out of their garden. This stuff was strong, but tasty! Thank you so much to Marko and his great family for inviting us over for this amazing dinner!
